Balloon Bouquet Cake
A very cute idea for a young child's birthday is to create a balloon bouquet
cake.
This is easy to do.
First bake 12-24 cupcakes from a box type cake mix.
Next color some white icing 3-5 different colors of your choosing. You can do
this by adding a few drops of food coloring a stirring well. If you would like
pastel colors add less. For brighter colors add more.
Now frost your cupcakes and arrange them on a white or contrasting colored
poster board.
Now curl the ends of some ribbon with your scissors and bind them together
with some more ribbon. You will need one long string for each cupcake that you
have. The ribbon strings should be left long, about 24" or so. Remember you
can trim the strings later.
Now take the strings and bring them up to the cupcakes and tape each one down
underneath a cupcake. Start at the bottom and work your way to the top. This is
a wonderful way to make a beautiful cake that is quick and easy.
