Heart Cake For 1st Birthday I made this cake for my youngest daughter's first birthday. I chose to do a simple and easy one, because I let my oldest daughter dig in to her first birthday cake, so of course I let my youngest. It's fun to watch their reactions to the feel of the icing and the cake. I used a yellow cake mix, but made buttercream icing from scratch.
