Healthy Processed-Sugar Free Cake
This cake was made as an alternative to the often unhealthy, too-sweet and too-sugary cakes served at birthday parties. The birthday boy just turned 30 and really despises anything with artificial flavoring, coloring, or empty calories, so we had to get quite creative. Fruit is his favorite sweet food, so why not make a cake that was entirely of fruit?
The base is made of greens, pears, and apples, the sides are strawberries, kiwi, and bananas. There was no baking involved, only artistic and structural arrangement of the fruit. It is not recommended to place soft bananas underneath as a base. It was very well received.
