Hamburger Birthday Cake

Hamburger Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my son's 5th birthday. He loves burgers, so this was the ideal cake for him. It was very easy to make...

The buns are made from two round 9-inch cakes, then frosted in the bun color. The burger part of the cake is made from a brownie mix. I made it in the same 9 inch cake pan I used for the buns, but trimmed a little off around the edges to make it slightly smaller than the buns. This also added to the authentic burger shape. The lettuce, tomatos and cheese, were all made from store bought fondant icing - already colored. (although you could color your own white fondant..marshmallow fondant would also work as well).

This was a huge hit, and very easy to make.
