Halloween Vegan Gluten Free Carrot Birthday Cake

It was my good friend's birthday (on Halloween) and he has a gluten allergy. As a special birthday treat my friend (she is vegan) decided to make him a birthday cake to celebrate.

This was for a 24 year old's birthday, but I feel that it can work for any age.

We used just a rectangular cake pan.

The cake was made using a gluten free vegan carrot cake recipe and topped with vegan cream cheese frosting. We then used marzipan pressed into molds to make tombstone toppers and used food coloring to add some detail.

For the dirt on the graves we used coco crispies and used corn syrup and food coloring mixed with xanthum powder for the gorey mess.
