Goofy Clowns

Clown Cake

I made this cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. We were having an ice cream party and all the kids got to make clowns out of a scoop of ice cream with a waffle cone on top. Then decorated it with little bits and pieces of candy.

So I thought I'd put some clowns on the cake so it would go along with the theme, and my daughter wanted flowers on it too, being the girl that she is, hehe.

It was easier for me to put the flowers on the sides, before putting the edges on, I think most people do it that way, I'm not sure. Because I usually do everything backwards. I used the whipped frosting because that's the kind she likes, though I like to use butter cream for decorating, I think it holds colors better.
