Four Layer Wedding Cake

Our wedding cake was a disaster. It was a 4 layer cake and by the time we cut it it looked like it was going to fall over. You can see in the picture where the layers were seperating and the whole thing is starting to lean.

The icing was buttercream and the filling was raspberry so I don't know if those things contributed to the sliding apart of the layers.

It was decorated with icing flowers on the top layer, icing beading on each layer with a fleur de lis design around the cake sides.

The cake was lemon and with the raspberry filling it tasted fantastic.
