Not a traditional birthday cake per se, I created this football cake for my four year old son, a huge fan of the sport. Using a Wilton football cake pan I obtained from a local craft store, the cake was a simple white box cake mix. Chocolate frosting was applied from a bag with a star tip, and white "laces" piped on for accent. The cake was a hit at the party, and I have had several requests for duplicate cakes.
