Fondant Monkey Cake

When my granddaughter was about to turn one I was going to make her a cake for her birthday. I decided to make a monkey cake and experiment with fondant.

I used two ordinary circle cake pans. Used one cake pan to make the face and the second cake was used to make the ears. I found a fondant recipe on the Internet and make the fondant.

The cake turned out and my granddaughter loved it. One of my favorite pictures is her with this cake.
