Easy Pink Princess Cake

Pink Princess Cake

Pink Princess Cake

This cake was a last minute make. My sister was supposed to make the cake for my daughter's fourth birthday. She emailed me pictures of this beautiful castle cake, which was perfect because my daughter wanted a princess cake. However, at the last minute my sister called and she was not going to make it to the party. It was the morning of the party and I ran to the store to see what I could make. Here is what I did...

I bought the mix for funfetti cake - (the white cake with sprinkles mixed into the batter)and baked it in a regular 9 x 13 pan according to the directions on the box. (Suggestion: try doing 2 9-inch rounds for a variation)

Then I bought neon food coloring and plain white frosting. I colored it hot pink and frosted the whole thing.

Then I added pink candles and purple and white accent frosting.

My daughter loved it! The cake was simple, but it was pink and that's all she needed to feel like a princess for the day.
