Dump Cake Recipe

This easy dump cake recipe is something that your kids will love to make. The ingredients are just dumped into the pan and tossed into the oven. The result is a wonderful creation that is a cross between a regular cake and a cobbler.


It's great fun, so here we go:

INGREDIENTS:
1 can of prepared fruit cherry pie filling
1 can of crushed pineapple (do not undrain)
1 box of yellow cake mix
2 sticks of margarine (cut each one into 12 pieces)
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (this is optional)

PREPARATION:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Have a 9 by 13-inch baking pan ready.

Dump the pineapple (with all its juice) into your baking pan and spread along the bottom.

Dump the cherry pie filling across the top of the pineapple.

The cake mix goes on top of the other ingredients.

The slices of butter are added on top of the cake mix.

The pecans or walnuts top off the cake.

Bake the concoction for one hour.

Enjoy!

It goes great with vanilla ice cream, as if you had not already guessed!

This recipe for dump cake makes a delicious dessert that can be eaten hot or cold (if enough of it survives to be put into the fridge).
