Dora M&M Mosaic Cake

I made this M&M mosaic cake of Dora the Explorer for my daughter's 3rd birthday. This was back in 2004, before you could buy the M&Ms by separate colors....and spent hours separating the colors.

We used various sizes of M&Ms. I used two box cake mixes to make two sheetcakes that I set next to each other. I mixed an icing that is Dora's 'flesh' color...the only part not covered in M&Ms is areas of her skin.

Editor's Note: You did a terrific job, Abi. It's one of the best Dora cakes I have seen and will certainly inspire other moms when they are looking to make one for their daughters.
