Detroit Tigers Cake

My son's 13th birthday and his love of the Detroit Tigers is what inspired me to make this cake. It was for his 13th birthday and was made with a normal out of the box cake mix.

I think its the decorations that made it so special! My son is a serious Detroit Tigers Fan and last year he turned 13 years old. So we took him to his first ever Detroit Tigers game. It is a 5 hour drive so we never really wanted to make the trek with kids but for his BIG day we did! He had a FABULOUS time.

After the game we took him out for dinner. Where we usually use the restuarant's cake for dessert, but this time we just left with no dessert. He was dumbfounded until we finally got home very late that night and waiting for him was the Detroit Tigers cake that my mom and I had made for him! He fell over with excitement! He said it was the coolest cake he has even seen! I was proud!
