Cross Cake

I was asked to make a cake for my neice's birthday/first communion. She was seven years old.

I did not use any special pans. I just used 2 square pans and doubled the cake so that it would be 2 layers and cut the cross out.

The cake is a box devil's food chocoalate cake with a cool-whip whip cream icing and gum paste flowers.
