Chocolate Sea Shell Wedding Cake
We had our wedding on the beach, so I knew I wanted a beachy type wedding cake, I searched the Internet and found several I liked but they were all more expensive than we could afford.
I went to Publix and talked to the decorator and she said she could make a cake for us using real shells or chocolate shells. So we decided to make our own.
I bought sea shell molds from craft stores, Walmart and eBay. We bought the chocolate waffers and melted them down and made all of them.
Then we took them to Publix and she arranged them on the cake. It was 3 tiers and it fed about 50-75 people. The cost was about $230. My mom also made the cake topper, she bought it at Walmart and added flowers and shells.
The cake was one of my favorite things from my wedding. I talk about it all the time how proud I was of it.
