Chocolate Kahlua And Italian Cream Wedding Cake

The main deciding factor for my cake was taste. I honestly just didn't like the typical white cake with buttercream frosting --- way too bland for my taste. So I went to a local bakery and started explaining to the lady what I was looking for. I actually decided on two different flavors for the cake. The bottom layer was a chocolate kahlua flavor and the top two layers were Italian cream. I also selected cream cheese frosting, because that is what I like. Which is what I think is the most important thing ... getting what you like!!


I decided to go simple and have fresh (organic) flowers added with a simple design on the edges. The cake fed approximately 100 people (with plenty left for late night snacking!!) In total we spent about $250.
