Chocolate Birthday Cake

This cake was for my daughter's 8th birthday. She lives with her mom and I only get her on the weekends, so it is always special to get her on her birthday.

To make it, I used a round 8" pan and Duncan Hines marble cake mix. I cooked it as directed on the box and low and behold, I actually made it work! I topped it off with chocolate icing and candy lettering.

She loved the cake and I don't think there was any left after our get-together.
