Cherry Cookie Delight

My friend has a child that she needed me to bake a cake for her birthday because she did not have the means to do so. The girl, turning 3 thought she wanted a cherry pie. Then when I saw her again she stated she wanted cookies. What better a creation then to make a cherry pie with cookie cut outs for the top? thats what I did. Just your standard pie crust standard cherry filling and when i rolled the top crust I cut cookie cutter shapes and placed them on top plus added sprinkles!
