Castle Cake For Mya's 1st Birthday

I wanted to make my neice's 1st birthday cake. My sister liked the idea of a castle for her. I did some research online and had some ideas but had never done anything without a cake mold. I was on a limited budget, so I didn't have the right cake pans and had to improvise. Other than that (and a few other small details), I was happy with the outcome. It gave me the experience I needed to keep doing, hopefully bigger and better, cakes.
