Caramel Butterscotch White Cake

Caramel Butterscotch White Cake

Caramel Butterscotch White Cake

I wanted to try something different from the traditional white or chocolate icing birthday cake so I decided on two flavors that I thought would go really well together. Butterscotch and caramel.

I just used a basic square pan for the cake. While mixing I added 1 pouch of vanilla pudding to the cake mixture to help keep the cake moist after it was done. This can be used on just about any kind of cake if you have, depending on the types of pudding availible.

I prepared two separate square cakes. As the middle layer I added a butterscotch Philidelphia cream cheese frosting and for the frosting around the whole cake I used Betty Crocker butterscotch frosting.

It is a basic cake with no frills or gimmicks but the one thing that it was is delicious.
