What inspired you to make the cake? My little dude (youngest of 6) really liked playing Candyland, it could of been because that was the only game at the time we had for him to play. But the only other thing he liked at the time was cars, and I made hime a car cake the year before, so we decided to make it a game birthday. There were lots of different games to play at the party and he recieved a lot of games for his birthday.

It wasn't my best cake but it was one of the most unique I've attempted to make (the other was an amusement park with candy rollercoaster, but I don't have pictures of that)

He was turning 4. I did not use a special pan this time, but I usually use Wilton's character cake pans.

I used a simple cake recipe (doubled), and candy as close as I could get to resemble the Candyland board.
