Candyland Birthday Cake

Jacqueline wanted to play Candyland so much (it was her favorite game since she was a little girl) so I went to KBtoys to see if they had the game in stock. Unfortunately, since her birthday is a few days after Christmas, there were hardly board games in stock and they were out of Candyland.

I had to find some innovative way to make her Candyland theme party more of a success. I had ordered an LSG strawberry cheesecake birthday cake for her, which is her favorite, but it didn't quite fit into her theme. So, I decided to do my best to make a small Candyland themed cake and present it as my birthday gift to her, and she loved it. I used various candies and cookies to make bridges and pathways. I made glass and frozen rivers out of sugar, corn syrup, and food coloring.
