Cake With Brownie Layer In Between

We made this cake for our friends Lacy and Cheri since their birthdays were two days apart. The frosting was strawberry...and although the cake looks a little messy from the outside it was really good. It's actually two cakes stacked on top of each other with a layer of brownies between it! We took them out for dinner and then brought them back and surprised them with the cake. Because it was finals week here (we are in med. school) they were really excited that anyone put forth the effort...even if it was a little lopsided! :)
