Cake For Small Wedding

This cake was about $200, but was included in our wedding package. The third layer was the additional cost. The cake was "built" by a local bakery in Charlotte. We liked the square look for our style of wedding, and the red ribbon was the color of the bridesmaids' dresses. Our wedding attendance was only about 25 people- we kept it small, so this little cake was perfect!

It was coconut cream between the layers or coconut cake, and buttercream frosting. The cake was too fluffy to support fondant. We just celebrated our one year anniversary last week and it was just as good after being in the freezer for a year as it was on the wedding day!
