Butter Cream Frosted Wedding Cake

My wedding cake was three separate layers stacked individually on a white metal three tier rack. This style of cake was very easy to cut and was still had a nice overall look. The bottom of each layer was wrapped with a black satin ribbon. The original cake I wanted was covered in fondant, but the bakery I used did not use fondant. I am very glad that we used butter cream frosting instead. It was still beautiful and looked more like a cake than a decoration. The cake fed 150 people for $3.75 per person.
