Bowling Party Cake

We made this cake for my niece's birthday. She choose to have her birthday at the bowling alley so we just had to make a ball and pin cake. We used a pin cake pan that we found in a local specialty shop and the generic ball pan.

One cake mix filled both pans and we used one batch of homemade frosting. We decorated the ball in her favorite color, purple, and then used black candy to make the "holes." The pin was frosted white and we used Fruit by the Foot candy to make the stripes on the pin. Then we put candles on the pin to look like a number 7 since it was her 7th birthday and the theme was complete.

My niece and her friends loved the cake and it was so easy to make.
