Black Forest Birthday Cake

This cake was made for my daughter's second birthday party. I decided to make two cakes - one for the kids and one for the adults.

This cake was for the adults. The main ingredients were chocolate powder, cherry filling, chocolate icing (soft) and lots of chocolate sprinkles and cherries.

The cake comprised of three 8-inch layers, with each layer filled with cherry filling in-between, giving the cake a nice black and red layered look when cut.

Even some of the children loved the cake as they were enticed by the cherries.
