Bert And Ernie Cake

I have twin girls and I wanted to start a tradition of making a cake for them every year. Also, my mom made cakes for me when I was small. This Bert and Ernie cake was for their 1st birthday; they are 19 months old now.

I had to order a Bert and Ernie cake pan from eBay because this cake pan is no longer made. I prepared the actual cake according to the instructions on the box for 13x9x2in cake pan.

The actual icing is the easy part. It is preparing the icing and cleaning up that is the most work. The outcome is well worth it though!
