Baseball Game Cake

Our nine year old son had nine friends over on his birthday who were brought by their nine parents. A rousing game of baseball-nine year olds vs parents was the main event before presenting this baseball themed birthday cake. Each of his favorite players were in position on the cake. Only a square layer cake pan was used. Three layers, frosting, gum for bases and brown sugar for the dirt infield were the only special effects.
