Barney Birthday Cake

I used a preshaped Wilton Barney cake pan, and just ditched the frosting directions and did it my own, quicker, less attractive way, as the cake was just going to be eaten anyway. I dyed powder sugar frosting purple amd frosted it with a knife, the placed other facial features on it in contrasting colors.

My better ideas for cakes do not have pictures, but for my son I made a rectagle cake and frosted it green and placed a highway down the center and placed toy cars on it from the Disney Pixar movie "Cars."

For another daughter, I made a castle out of cake surrounded by ice cream sugar cones inverted on top of regular cup cones. It was higlighted with marshmellows and sugar sprinkles.
