Baby Shower Cake

This is a cake I made for a niece's baby shower. They knew they were having a boy and had the name "Andy" picked out.

I made two 13x9 cakes--one devil's food chocolate and one classic vanilla and pushed the two cakes together to make a half-sheet cake. It takes a little extra icing to hide the indention in the middle but it's a really fun and easy cake to make.

For some reason, I took the picture before I "fixed" my border. After I took the picture, I "smooshed" my dots to get rid of the hershey's kisses look that I was not going for. I also meant to have the difference in shades of blue be much more drastic but I'm really terrible at working with gel colors to make my own colors. Aside from that, I thought the cake was really cute and my niece loved it so I was happy.
