Art to be Eaten?
When I see a wedding cake made by Martha Stewart, I think of art. If there were a museum for cakes, her beautiful cakes would be the feature exhibit. They're beautiful; they're breath-taking; they're representative of Martha Stewart; they're perfect.
I would hate to be the person to cut that first slice. I don't think I could bring myself to take a bite, even if I were wearing a wedding dress and hundreds of people were watching.
Like any other piece of art, I think Martha Stewart's wedding cakes are to be seen and not eaten. I don't know that they're practical for usage. They are the "look but don't touch" cakes that should be admired safely behind velvet ropes.
