Aloha Cake

Aloha Cake

Aloha Cake

This cake was for my six year old daughter's birthday. She wanted to have a Hawaiian luau. It is a white cake with pina colada frosting. I used a 9 x 13 pan for the bottom layer and half of a sports ball pan for the rounded island on top.

It was fast and easy. 4/5s of the icing was dyed blue, and the last 1/5 was dyed brown for the land. The palm trees are plastic, I got them at a party supply store for about 50 cents. Cookie crumbs were sprinkled on the island for the sand.
