Airplane Cake On Runway

This cake I was making for my Pastor's Son for his graduation of Avivation school.

This cake was probably my hardest one yet. Every trial and Error that could happen.... DID!

The 1st thing was with the weather getting warmer here my cake that in the beginning was shaped like an airplane... while waiting on the fondant to dry it split right down the middle and the icing MELTED!

So this is actually the 2nd cake that I had to make and come up with plan B considering I had less than 2 days before he was to graduate! Over all I think it turned out fairly good. I did learn a new and better way to make fondant, I also injected cheesecake filling into the cake. The whole cake was eatable, even the plane on top was cake!
