Amazing!
by: Tracy B.

This sounds amazing! I do alot of cooking and baking for my church, and I am VERY known for my cheesecakes..... but I never would of even thought of this, or ever thought it could be possible (with the heaviness of cheesecake). I have just in the last 4 months started attempting to make speciality cakes, and pretty soon I will be making a wedding cake, I might have to give this a try! Thanks!

Wedding cheesecake
by: Anonymous

How did you tier the wedding cake? Our son and fiance want a cheesecake for their wedding and the only option I can think of is satellite style presentations but we need cake for 200 and that comes out to about 15-20 cakes. HELP!!!

What do you think about a beautiful two tiered cake and then a sheet style that the caterer can cut behind the scenes?

Sorry, No Picture
by: Anonymous

I don't have a digital picture to upload but it was fairly simply decorated with swags and live flowers. The topper was a gazebo with bride and groom and we surrounded it with more flowers and ferns. It looked like any ordinary wedding cake.

I made trial layers before I attempted the real thing as well. The only thing I would do differently is to make some satellite layers for extra servings since people came back for seconds and it was eaten up!

I'm willing to try

My niece has asked me to make her a cheesecake wedding cake. Your instuctions sound very helpful, and give me the courage to attempt a trial layer. Do you have any pictures of the cake you made?

More Info On A Cheesecake Wedding Cake

The cheesecake and torte layers are baked separately and then combined for the layers. The cooked buttercream icing is piped on from a pastry bag and used between layers as well as on the outside. It's like a thick and stable whipped cream and holds its shape for decorating.

I'm a little confused yet intrigued. Was the torte layer baked on top or bottom of cheesecake layer? At the same time or seperately? Is the icing poured or used froma decorating bag? I love the idea of this cake, and would love to try making it. Also what size pans did you use?

I'm not sure if I'd be that brave, but it sounds good.
